yes I do ... and I am 100% in support ... I would be more than willing to pay more taxes if Canada increased our spending to bring us more on par with the US.
I wonder what % of Canadians share your feelings? My guess is not that many.

Save 5,000 trees with your iPod.
people are always worried about "save the trees..." and "there's too much over-population..." Have u ever flown over this country? there's thousands of acres of nothingness. i'm confused.

While we don't know exactly how the Firmware update was designed, it would appear as though the update will simply ignore symptoms of a SMC short circuit to allow the laptop to continue operating. If this is the case it may degrade a MacBook's ability to detect true over-heat situations.
I agree. This seems a risky way to deal with a hardware defect. My first macbook had RSS, and apple exchanged it for a new one with me. If this one started doing it I'd be very worried - firmware update or no.

The name "iPhone 4G" adds a letter, it doesn't remove one. It allows a 4G phone to be marketed as such, just as they did with the 3G.
I don't care what they call it, just build one that can make calls without blaming the carrier for Apples sloppy work.
Funny how not long ago there was a poll and most who responded voted to keep the tiny 3.5" display. Now that the fanboys god has considered a 4.0" suddenly the push-back went away. So hypocritical, fanboys wait for their god to tell them what's good for them.

The G5 cases were/are absolutely giant -- to accommodate the massive amount of airflow the G5 chip needed. With this Intel chip running much cooler, it shouldn't require the need of a giant case with huge heat sinks.

I think it's a computer that will fit inside your home and possibly carry around with you (There's something in the Air), that can use your modem's telephone line to connect to the WWW and display text and graphics.
So an iPhone that is slightly more powerful and uses wireless instead of a modem... :p

Neither am I. This is not about any race, as in all black people in the world. This is about people who reside in London, England. Just because the crime statistics of a limited geographic area don't fit your world of political correctness, it doesn't mean they are incorrect. Again, you can compare charging decisions and convictions among the various races in a city like London, but there is no way to compare the propensity of a race to commit crimes. How do you know what those numbers are other than to look at who was charged and/or convicted of crimes?
I rest my case. So, are you suggesting that I fit within this class of attourneys {sic}? And you rest your case? Brilliant. Yes, I know that some places (e.g. Texas), black people are provided with retarded attourneys who show up intoxicated in court - if showing up at all.

WOW! Guys please go and read the 10-year old forums, it's amazingly fun!
There are comments like:
"I still can't believe this! All this hype for something so ridiculous! Who cares about an MP3 player? I want something new! I want them to think differently!
Why oh why would they do this?! It's so wrong! It's so stupid!"
It's totally like any other new product announcement today :D
On topic: I think Apple has some amazing ideas, but also that they don't hesitate to ditch them for something new if they think it's better. I think this is the only way to evolve in today's world. Most companies stick to their traditional stuff and keep pushing it even if it's not as good as it could be, just because it was some great idea they had many years ago. Apple has absolutely no respect for tradition and will always be the first to replace one of their best inventions with something totally different. I find this admirable and dangerous at the same time, but so far it had worked great for them.
While many people will still stick to traditions, Apple won't. Rationally, the click-wheel has no real advantage over a touch screen. It's slower to navigate a menu if you have to scroll through it, rather than just press whatever you like. Yes, it is awesome and you got used to it and it looks nice, but Apple won't care for that. It's good and bad at the same time.

I used to think the same way. 2 kids off to college, money is tight but I gave them each their choice of laptops:
1.) kid#1 chose a Dell because she <gasp> liked Vista
2.) kid#2 chose the plain old white macbook
3 years later, guess which one is currently crap? Seriously, Kid#1 comes home one day, opens up her Dell and she's got 3 keys missing one of which is the Enter key - has no clue where they went. :D Also, the battery is lasting a full 20 minutes and the DVD drive is kaput. The damn thing creaks and moans more than my arthritic joints.
Now, the lowly white macbook looks like it's been used as a door mat (which I polished up for kid #2 in about 5 minutes) but it works flawlessly.
Really... don't rationalize the cost. Kids are tough on these things and you aren't always there to "learn 'em" how to handle them. A well built mac + Applecare is a pretty secure future for their learning experience.
who cares? dell's are cheap enough that you can buy a 15" model every year and after 3 years still spend less $$$ than a MBP with Apple Care

Every manufacturer and their mother has announced Core 2 Duo portables, and most of them consumer models too. Sheesh, I mean there are Core 2 Duo tablets, if they can do that, Apple can do bloody MacBooks.
Yep, ANNOUNCED. But most of them still aren't shipping for a few days. Apple can still wait a bit to announce merom MBP and STILL beat most of the pc's to market.

What does it mean to "recall"?.
what do you think it means?
And i called apple, they basically told me tough luck right now and i will have to wait basically till tomorrow to check the website because they are still updating it
Because the tech tried to input everything on his side and it wouldn't accept it either.

Hey guys, I've created a website called pleasesteve .co.uk for everyone to be able to submit their ideas on what the next line up of apple products needs. People with more tech knowledge can also comment and clear up any reasoning for why Apple may not implement some of the suggestions too. Please check it out and tell me how to improve as its gonna grow slowly.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

Hehe. You are the one falling for the myth about MP myth. DXOMark has a lengthy article that explains why more megapixels is NOT a bad thing. It does NOT negatively influence low light capabilities, contrary to popular belief.
I never disagreed with that, but that's not what I'm talking about-- I'm talking about sensor capabilities, which is the core issue in the MP myth. Just because something has 3 more MP than something else doesn't make it better at all... the quality of the sensor is essential, no? I'm not saying its a bad thing, but to say that this 5MP camera from this manufacturer is worse than this 8MP camera from a different manufacturer solely based on MP... that's the crux of the MP fallacy.

As I eagerly await delivery of my first iPad, I know that I want an iPod that will only play music. When I am exercising, I don't want to receive phone calls or emails, I just want music, and I want a device that will hold all of my 12,145 songs, with room to grow.
I don't needs apps, I don't want communication...I just want music.
future post:
Well now that i have an iPod that can hold all my music, and runs great apps, I am even happier!
You don't have to setup e-mail on it if you don't want to ;)

It's all fun and games until someone wakes up with a dead horse head in their bed.
But seriously... $9.99 to $12.99 movie downloads when I can go over to any store (like, oh, say, Wal-Mart) and buy the real deal for a buck or two more? Just how in God's name is this a threat to them?! Wal-Mart's smartest move would be to drop their DVD prices by that buck or two, until they cost the SAME or LESS than online downloads.

Thats a good point! I know Jacko had out bid McCartney on the rights to the Beatles songs but i too wonder who owns them now?
Michael Jackson bought ATV, which owns the Beatles catalog, in 1985, and 10 years later, merged with Sony, creating Sony/ATV Music Publishing. Jackson and Sony co-owned the Beatles catalog. Following Jackson's death, Sony/ATV keeps control of the Beatles' songs.
Plus (i could be wrong) Simon "Money Whore" Cowell has his fingers in Sony who co-own the rights to The Beatles catalogue!?
Simon Cowell has nothing whatsoever to do with the Beatles catalog. He's involved with Sony BMG Music Entertainment and Sony Music Entertainment, which are separate and distinct companies from Sony/ATV Music Publishing, which owns the catalog.
Don't quote me on that.
Too late! I already did! :D

The idea that religion is the only thing that keeps kids from growing up into terrible people is a bit outdated, there are large countries in the Western World were religion has almost no influence and these places are not a pool of hate.
Actually, this Book of Truths is not a bad idea.
You can introduce it to your children, in the comfort of your own home. No need to venture out into nasty weather, wasting gas/shoe leather, to go to some palatial venue.
And now that the government has failed in raising your kids, because you sure are not allowed to lay an open palm on the little dears, this might be one way to get the message across, for a healthy, successful life.
OK, this should be good. :D
